Merry Christmas! :)

I know - we just got back to school!  But now's the time to get started on those Christmas cards!

Here's one we created at Technique Club in Munfordville!  A little bit of punching, embossing and smooching and you have this card!

So here are the supplies and the "how-to's"!

Cardstock

Very Vanilla card stock – 5½” x 8½”; 1” x 5¼”

Crumb Cake card stock – 5¼” x 4”

Wild Wasabi card stock – 1¼” x 5¼”; 2” x 2”

Cherry Cobbler card stock – 2” x 11”

Ink

VersaMark Pad (102283 - $7.50)

VersaMark Pen (100901 - $3.25)

Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin’ Pad (119669 - $5.95)

Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad (102277 - $5.95)

Ruler

INSTRUCTIONS
• Smooch Very Vanilla (1” x 5¼”) and let dry
• Punch 6 flowers from Cherry Cobbler; punch 1 flower from Wild Wasabi
• Use the ruler, stylus & mouse pad and score the middle of each petal on all 7 pieces

HINT: Line up the point with the indent opposite the petal

• Curl up petals using the score line as a base

• Optional: Ink Cherry Cobbler flowers with Cherry Cobbler ink. Use heat tool to set the ink

• Use the VersaMarker brush end on the edges of the petals on the Cherry Cobbler; on 3 flowers, add dots with the fine tip end to the center of the flower

• Add gold embossing powder; use tweezers to hold flower and heat with heat tool.

• Ink the Wild Wasabi flower with Old Olive ink.

• Cut the Wild Wasabi flower into 3 pieces; 2 pieces with 2 petals and 1 piece with 1 petal.

• Stamp “Merry Christmas” on Smooched Very Vanilla with Versamark and emboss with gold embossing powder.

ASSEMBLE

1) Fold Sahara Sand and crease with bone folder

2) Adhere Crumb Cake to Very Vanilla base

3) Adhere Wild Wasabi to Crumb Cake
4) Adhere sentiment to Wild Wasabi
5) Layer Cherry Cobbler flower with dots on top of “blank” flower with a dimensional
6) Add “poinsettias”
7) Tuck Wild Wasabi petals (leaves) under poinsettia as desired
8) Stamp sentiment inside card as desired or leave blank.

Stampers with "Kareck"ter Upline Meeting

So here's what I did last weekend! I traveled to Smyrna, TN and attended the Stampers with "Kareck"ter upline meeting with Beckie Kareck!

It was a blast! New friends, new samples and ideas and a make-n-take!

So here I am with "Mom" (Vicki Edwards) and my "sisters" (Melissa Bright, Donna Adwell, JoAnne Smith).

When you join Stampin' Up! (and my team) it' like a whole new family.  I only had brothers growing up and now I have three "sisters"!

We have a great time bouncing ideas and learning from each other!!

Here's our make-n-take we made:

This was the "Just Believe" stamp set. We colored the stamp with markers (yea - my fav!) and then misted it with water to make it look watercolor-y. We did a little bit of tearing and added the strip at the bottom.


Does the strip look like ribbon? It's not!! It's cardstock! We punched a border of a strip of paper, ran it through the crimper three times and then put down a strip of tacky tape, created loops and stuck the paper down in between the loops!
